It is my honor to serve as the First Lady of Florida State University. I am so happy to be part of the university family, and I continue to be impressed by everything this university has to offer. From the incredibly talented students, faculty, and staff to our beautiful campuses near and far, I am amazed by the reach Florida State has throughout the state, across the nation and around the world.
Florida State has a tradition of excellence in world-class research, the arts and humanities, student success and championship athletics, and I am thrilled to be part of this amazing FSU community.
Part of my role as First Lady is serving as the ambassador for the arts. The talent and creativity offered by these students is beyond compare. I am excited to partner with the College of Fine Arts, the College of Motion Picture Arts, the College of Music, and other departments to support and promote the success of these programs.
I also enjoy promoting the great work the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) program is doing to support students who are the first in their families to attend college. President McCullough is a first-generation college student, and we understand the unique challenges these students may face.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the FSU community. I love sharing the Florida State University story wherever I go, and I’m proud to call myself a Florida State Seminole.
